    At least nine people were wounded early Saturday morning when gunfire was sprayed into a crowd of people outside a bar in Trenton, officials said. The police were notified of gunfire at about 12:25 a.m. Saturday outside the bar, Ramoneros Liquor and Bar on Brunswick Avenue. Officers who responded found several victims in and around the bar, the authorities said. (New York Times)

    Niagara officer shot by fellow cop now facing criminal charges

    A Niagara-area police officer who was shot and seriously wounded, allegedly by a fellow officer, has himself been charged in connection with the shooting. Investigators with the Ontario Provincial Police allege Const. Nathan Parker of the Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) resisted arrest, assaulted an officer and committed assault with a weapon during the altercation that led to him being shot on Nov. 29, 2018.     Shooting death at Ontario house party

    One person is dead following a shooting at a house party in Whitchurch-Stouffville. Just after 4 a.m. Friday, police were called to 6336 Bloomington Road E. for reports of a shooting.Once there, emergency crews located the victim shot in the head in an upstairs bedroom. (Toronto Sun)
