MISSOULA - A Montana man pleaded guilty Friday to stabbing two people to death, including a teenage girl, dismembering their bodies and then trying to dissolve them in tubs filled with acid in the basement of a home. (New York Post)

Thunder Bay police charge man with 2nd degree murder in killing of Braiden Jacob

The Thunder Bay Police Service said Friday that a man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of 17-year-old Braiden Jacob. Police say the 22-year-old suspect was arrested shortly after 5 p.m. on Friday and faces a charge of second-degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday.Jacob's body was found on Dec. 9 shortly after 11:30 a.m. near the southern portion of Chapples Park in Thunder Bay. (CBC)

Body of missing Laval woman found in Mexico

Authorities in Mexico say the body of a Laval, Que., woman missing since last week has been found. Christine St-Onge, 41, was last heard from on Dec. 4. Her body was found near a hotel in Los Cabos, where she had been staying with her partner. (CBC)

1st degree murder charge laid in 20-yr-old Sudbury cold case

Sudbury police say a 39-year-old North Bay, Ont., man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of Renee Sweeney 20 years ago. On Tuesday, police say Robert Steven Wright, also known as Steven or Steve Wright, was taken into custody and charged with first-degree murder. (CBC)

Killer faces up to 50 years in prison for Mac’s store shootings

An Edmonton Court of Queen's Bench justice is expected to decide Tuesday whether double murderer Laylin Delorme will spend 25 or 50 years behind bars before he can apply for parole. Six months ago, an Edmonton jury found Delorme, 27, guilty on two counts of first-degree murder in the shooting deaths of Mac's convenience store workers Karanpal Bhangu and Ricky Cenabre.     CALGARY - Police say they have someone in custody in relation to the death of a man after a brawl at a downtown nightclub. Police said Tuesday that Cordelius Terry Jackson Harrison, 29, surrendered to police at a district office and that he faces one charge of second-degree murder.     Victim of daylight Surrey shooting identified

    SURREY - The victim of a shooting in Surrey has been identified as 41-year-old Ranjeev Sangha. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) says Sangha is believed to have been targeted and was pronounced dead at the scene. (Global News)
